Most methylene blue sold online is bought in bulk and relabelled, with no idea what’s really in the bottle. Blu Brain exists because that wasn’t good enough. We make our own — in the UK, to a pharmaceutical grade, and we test every batch independently.
Why we started
Blu Brain was founded out of a simple frustration: the methylene blue available to UK buyers was inconsistent, often dye-grade, and almost never came with proof of what was in it. If you can’t see the lab results, you’re trusting a label.
So we built the thing we wanted to buy — a clean, verified, pharmaceutical-grade 1% solution, made under controlled conditions and backed by an independent certificate of analysis for every batch. Over 100,000 bottles later, that principle hasn’t changed.

Every batch, verified by Eurofins
We don’t ask you to take our word for purity — we publish the numbers. Each batch is sent to Eurofins, one of the world’s largest UKAS-accredited testing networks, for heavy-metal and identity analysis by ICP-MS. The certificate of analysis travels with the batch and is available on request.
